Out of 34 laboratories from Germany, Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia, which participated in the interlaboratory scheme, HELLASCHEM’s laboratory achieved 1st place, with the best performance and notable distinction compared to the other laboratories.
Our laboratory participated in 6 different analysis, testing: Diastase Activity, HMF, Electric Conductivity, Moisture, Thyme pollen (% of total pollen types) and thyme pollen (% excluding pollen from nectarless plants).
In every single one of the various methods tested, the z score was │z│<0,5 and as a sum the z score was Σ│z│=1,4 . Keep in mind, that a result is considered successful if the z score for that particular analysis is │z│ <2.
In 2019 we achieved 3rd place out of 31 laboratories, while in 2018 we were again in 1st place out of 24 laboratories.
Our performance guarantees the validity of our results and verify that HELLASCHEM is one of the most dominant laboratories of Europe in honey analysis. Our laboratory is accredited in the Diastase activity, HMF and pollen analysis.
